The day begins with an 8 am pickup in Windhoek, followed by a southward route to Sossusvlei via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, renowned for its spectacular natural beauty. A stop for lunch is scheduled at Solitaire, an oasis in the Namib Desert. Arrival at the lodge is expected in the afternoon, allowing time for relaxation. Meals will be provided as per the selected package. Accommodation for 2 nights in the Namib Desert will be at the following options: Camping at Sesriem Campsite or a similar location, Mid-range Lodge at Elegant Desert Lodge or similar, or Luxury Lodge at Dead Valley Lodge or similar. The travel distance will cover 350 km on a gravel road, lasting 5 hours, including stopovers and a lunch break.
The journey commences post breakfast, traversing the Namib-Naukluft Park en route to Swakopmund, showcasing captivating canyons and remarkable rock formations. The expansive Namib landscape unfolds before us, adorned with diverse wildlife such as oryx and springbuck, mountain zebras, giraffes, and the renowned flightless ostriches. A notable landmark en route is the Tropic of Capricorn, offering a prime opportunity for photographic documentation. Upon reaching Walvis Bay, visiting the lagoon presents an up-close encounter with flamingos. Meal arrangements are based on individual selections. Upon departing from the coastal town of Swakopmund, our journey takes us to Etosha National Park – a renowned Namibia treasure esteemed as one of Africa's most beloved parks. Upon arrival in Etosha, guests are greeted by untamed wildlife and the expansive white sands of the plains. During the afternoon's game drive, the quest to observe the king of the savannah – the lion, unfolds amidst a stunning array of magnificent game, including antelopes, giraffes, zebras, and herds of African elephants traversing the bush. In the evening, a leisurely dinner is served within the captivating ambience of the wilderness. At the waterhole, thirsty animals congregate for a drink, allowing spectators to witness the ever-changing "theatre of nature" until late into the evening. Meals: as selected. Accommodation: 2 nights in or near Etosha National Park Camping - Okaukuejo Campsite or similar. Mid-range Lodge – Okaukuejo Resort or similar. Luxury Lodge – Etosha Oberland Lodge or similar. Distance: 450 km on a tarred road. Duration: 6 hours The itinerary includes a full-day unlimited game drive in Etosha National Park from sunrise to sunset, with a break for lunch. Meals will be provided as per selection. The game drive covers a distance of 150 km and has a duration of the entire day.
Early morning breakfast, there will be a farewell to Etosha, and the journey will continue south to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. This leg of the trip allows ample time for final shopping for gifts, souvenirs, and curios at the local craft market and for taking last photographs of Africa's beauty. Meals will be provided as per selection. The distance to Windhoek is around 450 km on tarred roads, with an estimated duration of 6 hours.
