Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our English-speaking guide will pick you up in a 4x4 safari land cruiser. Enjoy views of Kigali as you check into your hotel. Have lunch at 1:00 PM, followed by a visit to the genocide memorial at 2:20 PM to honor the victims of the 1994 genocide. Return to the hotel for dinner and relaxation.
Depart the hotel at 6:00 AM to transfer to Akagera National Park for a morning game drive. After the game drive, enjoy lunch at the lodge and some relaxation. During the drive, look out for wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, leopards, hyenas, lions, and various antelopes. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Ihema to see hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and relax in preparation for the next day's activities.
Start your day with a morning game drive in Akagera National Park to spot more wildlife. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge and some relaxation time. At around 3:00 PM, embark on a guided nature walk to experience the local Rwandan culture. Return to the lodge for dinner and unwind, preparing for the next day's activities.
Check out of the lodge and drive 6 hours to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive by 1:30 PM, check in at your lodge, enjoy lunch, and relax as you prepare for the next day's activities.
Early in the morning, head to Kinigi in northern Rwanda for gorilla trekking, where you'll spend an hour with a specific gorilla family. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening, enjoy an African cultural experience at the Ibyiwacu cultural village, featuring traditional dances and customs. After this enriching experience, return to the lodge for dinner while preparing to say farewell to Rwanda.
Final day of the Rwanda safari. Enjoy breakfast at the lodge at 8:00am before your guide drives you to the airport for your flight home.
