Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our English speaking driver guide will welcome you. You will be transfered to your accommodation either in Kampala or Entebbe.
Optional (extra cost): If you arrive early and wish to explore, consider a trip to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens to see primates and birds, or visit Mabamba Wetland in search of the shoebill stork. Otherwise, enjoy dinner and relax.
Start with an early breakfast before heading to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an hour of on-foot tracking. Afterward, stop for lunch in Nakasongola or Karuma, then continue to Murchison Falls NP. Here, enjoy the stunning rapids and the chance to see lions, giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and a concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles. If time permits, consider a late afternoon game drive.
Enjoy breakfast before setting off on an early morning game drive in Uganda's largest National Park, where you can spot wildlife including lions and leopards, as well as various bird species. After returning for lunch and some rest, embark on a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you'll see hippos, crocodiles, and more birds. There's an optional hike to the top of the falls for those interested, offering an unforgettable view. Return to your accommodation for relaxation.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through villages and tea plantations. Upon arrival, you can check in and relax. For an extra $15, you can opt for a crater lakes excursion to enjoy the stunning views of the small lakes and surrounding hills, or simply unwind at the facility.
Start your day with breakfast before heading to the Bigodi wetlands, renowned for its diverse biodiversity, including various primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and baboons, as well as the Great Blue Turaco for bird watchers. After exploring Bigodi, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (about 2 hours). Enjoy lunch and some rest before an exciting game drive where you might spot animals like reedbuck, bushbuck, warthogs, elephants, lions, and buffaloes. Alternatively, opt for a breathtaking drive through the Queen’s explosion craters. Return to your accommodation for some well-deserved rest.
Start the day early with breakfast before heading to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimpanzee tracking. You'll also encounter other primates and bird species. After lunch and some rest, enjoy a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see wildlife like hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, along with various birds. Conclude the day with a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge.
After returning to the lodge and checking out, head to the Ishasha sector to search for tree-climbing lions, with a spotting chance of about 70%. If spotted, the sight will be unforgettable.
From Ishasha, continue to your accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park (Buhoma sector). Once there, you can relax or opt for a local community and cultural encounter for an extra $15 in the late afternoon
After breakfast, we'll hike the waterfall trail in Bwindi Forest, starting from the Buhoma north gate. This scenic route leads to beautiful waterfalls and allows us to spot wildlife like black and white colobus monkeys. After our hike, we'll return to our accommodation to check out and transfer to the Ruhija sector of Bwindi for our gorilla trekking tomorrow. We recommend relaxing this afternoon in preparation for the strenuous day
After breakfast, head to the ranger's post for a briefing on trekking dos and don'ts. Enter Bwindi Forest for an unforgettable adventure observing gorillas. You'll spend an hour with them once located. Afterward, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can relax and admire the lush, terraced hills and 29 enchanting islands.
After the trek, take a day to unwind. Enjoy meals at your accommodation. Optional activities (at extra cost) include touring historic islands, visiting the Batwa community, mountain biking, zip lining, canoeing, or kayaking. Your driver-guide can help arrange these.
After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara City. Arrive at your accommodation in time to rest before an afternoon-to-evening game drive, where you might spot eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob, and buffaloes. Later, unwind at Hyena Hill Lodge for the night.
Optional ($30): Consider a night game drive to see nocturnal wildlife.
Enjoy an early breakfast before a morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park with an armed ranger. Encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and buffaloes up close. Hike to the hilltop for stunning views of Lake Mburo and nine surrounding lakes. Afterward, return to check out and head to Entebbe airport for your flight (1800hrs or later)
